Rotarians connecting at a District gathering

DISTRICT 6920

DISTRICT INITIATIVES

The work clubs share on purpose: end polio, put books in kids’ hands, grow young leaders, and back the projects that only a local club can design.

WHAT THE DISTRICT STANDS BEHIND

A District initiative is not a slogan. It is a promise clubs keep together — so a visitor in Savannah and a member in Valdosta can point to the same work.

Start with one. Visit a club project. Give $100 to PolioPlus. Host an exchange student. The rest follows.

End Polio Now

GLOBAL PROMISE

END POLIO NOW

Rotary promised the world it would finish the job. District 6920 clubs keep that promise through the Polio Plus Society — $100 a year to the PolioPlus Fund — and through World Polio Day events.

Give directly, or ask your club how to join the Society this year.

BASIC EDUCATION

LITERACY

Clubs put books, dictionaries, and tutors where they live — Glennville to Vidalia, school partnerships, Imagination Library affiliates, and the District bookbag drives that send students into the year ready.

Literacy is the longest-running public story on this site. The archive still lives on the literacy home page.

NEXT GENERATION

YOUTH PROGRAMS

Youth Exchange through RYESE, the Georgia Rotary Student Program, RYLA, Interact, Rotaract, and Laws of Life. About $6,000 covers a 2026–27 outbound Exchange year. Chair Dana Park — dpark@ryese.org — is the first note for families.

Exchange, GRSP, RYLA, Interact, and Rotaract each have their own door. This page is the hallway.

CLUBS THAT LIVE THERE

LOCAL SERVICE

Bookbags, food, health clinics, neighborhood cleanups, and the one-off project only that club could have imagined. The District does not invent those. It helps fund, connect, and tell them.

If your club finished something the public should see, it belongs in News and Stories — not in a private document.
